  1. Over the last couple of years, Scanner Buff! has come a long way!  The
  2. first few releases were really dogs compared to the version 3 series,
  3. though.
  4.  
  5. Success has been so great that Scanner Buff! has been proposed as the
  6. nationwide standard for exchanging data.  This is fantastic and meets
  7. one of the original goals of Scanner Buff! that was set two years ago.

  9. I encourage each of you to adopt this file standard.  If you exchange
  10. data files, exchange either the .MDF file produced (the file will be
  11. indexed automatically by the receiver), or use the File Conversion
  12. routines and create an ASCII delimited file in the Scanner Buff!
  13. database order.

  15. The conversion routines were previously locked out of an unregistered
  16. version, however, in version 3.6x they were made available to all
  17. users in order to facilitate the growth of the program, as well as to
  18. facilitate the adoption of the proposed file standard.
